Sean Paul or whose full name is Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques (born in Kingston, Jamaica, January 9, 1973). His parents, Garth and Frances, both talented athletes, and his mother was a famous painter. Paternal grandfather was a Sephardic Jew whose family emigrated from Portugal, and paternal grandmother was Afro-Caribbean, his mother is English and Chinese Jamaican descent.
Sean Paul is a pop rap and reggae singer from Jamaica. He began his career in 1998. At that time he collaborated with Mr. Vegas and DMX to fill the soundtrack of the movie “BELLY”.
On March 28, 2000, he released his first album titled “Stage One”. On September 24, 2002, he released his second album, Dutty Rock. Single Gimme the Light and Get Busy success and sold over six million copies.
On 27 September 2005, he released his third album titled “The Trinity”. This album produced five hit songs is We Be Burnin, Ever Blazin, Give It Up to Me, Never Gonna Be The Same and Temperature.
He received four nominations award of the Billboard Music Awards in 2006; male artist of the year, rap artist of the year, hot 100 singles of the year, and pop singles of the year, for the song Temperature. He also won an American Music Award for the song Give It Up To Me beating Kanye West and Nick Lachey.
On August 18, 2009, Sean Paul released his fourth album, entitled “Imperial Blaze”. This album consists of 21 one of which is the main single, entitled So Fine.
In February 2012, Sean Paul is currently in the studio making the next fifth album will be released.
